Many support workers and family members struggle to understand the fluctuating needs of neurodivergent individuals. They may not recognise when you have the capacity to engage in daily tasks versus when you need rest to prevent burnout. Without lived experience of neurodivergence, support people often misunderstand the importance of flexible participation, sensory and cognitive rest, and providing assistance in a way that feels safe and non-triggering.
Rather than repeatedly training individual support workers—who may change over time—we create a Personalised Support Plan tailored to your unique needs. This plan serves as a guide for anyone supporting you, ensuring consistency and reducing the need for self-advocacy. You’ll also receive an editable Canva file, allowing you to update your plan as your needs evolve. No more explaining yourself over and over—your support plan will advocate for you.
We tailor the Support Plan to meet your unique needs and budget. With different options available, we can provide a highly templated approach or include specific details that address your individual needs. This flexibility ensures advocacy for all needs and budgets.

We originally created this document in response to inconsistencies in the approach and training of support workers for NDIS participants. However, we believe this resource can be beneficial for anyone providing support to a neurodivergent adult, not just those on the NDIS. The plan focuses on providing guidance and structure for support within the home and community, making it adaptable for a wide range of support contexts. Whether for a family member, caregiver, or support worker, this support plan is designed to help ensure that neurodivergent individuals receive the care and accommodations they need to thrive.
